A friend of mine told me that you were offended by my comments. I am sorry if the impression that you got was that I was trying to demean your capacity as a leader. That was never the intention. The ramblings that I made were just perhaps a result of my frustrations with what happened to the University, how it regressed over the years rather than progressed. Being an observer from a distance, my assertions may prove to be incorrect; however, I think many people share my opinions. However it could also be that the reason I struck a chord is that, even you share my observations.
I was told that you intend to finish all buildings. That’s a good start. Unfinished buildings are not just eyesores; they send the wrong signals to prospective students. Perhaps you could just view my comments as a challenge.
